(WASHINGTON, DC) Mayvin's CEO, Lisa Rosenthal, was recently named to the Board of Directors for My Sisters' Place, a D.C. based non-profit. As a member of the board, Lisa will play an active role in guiding the efforts and initiatives of My Sisters' Place and their causes, and also being knowledgeable ambassadors for the victims they're helping. She will also reach out and engage in the community when needed.
My Sisters' Place is Washington D.C.'s oldest domestic violence shelter. They have had their doors open to the D.C. community since 1979 and remain the area's only shelter with a full continuum of care, with services ranging from crisis hotline help to transitional and permanent housing. This community of staff, volunteers, and advocates are committed to eradicating domestic violence in the D.C. Metropolitan area. This is evident through their Reaching Independence through Survivor Empowerment (RISE) initiative. Since the RISE initiative began in 2012, My Sisters' Place has safely relocated over 95% of its victims to permanent homes. [http://www.mysistersplacedc.org/]

She is eager to begin her duties and partake in discussions and actions that will ultimately save lives, families, and reduce the damage done to domestic violence victims.
