The Mayvin Consulting Group, Inc. announced today that Mr. Samuel P. Morthland has joined the company as Vice President of Operations. Mr. Morthland, a former U.S. Air Force Lieutenant Colonel, will focus on expanding Mayvin Consulting's growing professional services business by cultivating new opportunities, developing new customer relationships, and promoting organic growth with existing partners and customers. He will be based out of Mayvin's Alexandria, VA office.
Mr. Morthland has extensive experience in special operations, information operations, requirements assessment, business process reengineering, and program management. Most recently, Mr. Morthland was the Corporate Program Manager for a $13 million services support contract for the Marine Corps Information Operations Center in addition to leading numerous studies and analysis efforts as a Consultant supporting both defense and commercial customers. Prior to retiring from the Air Force Special Operations, Mr. Morthland served on the Secretary of Defense and Joint staffs, led the operations of an 800 person operational unit, and led several large command and control (C2) and mission planning acquisition programs.
Mr. Morthland graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business from the Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio and has two Masters of Science Degrees from the Naval Postgraduate School in Defense Analysis (Information Operations) and from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Aviation Operations Management.
