She is a seasoned leader and business developer with significant government and commercial experience managing a broad spectrum of tasks, functions, processes, and systems from concept to implementation. Ms. Rosenthal is recognized for strong leadership skills, facilitating organizational change, well as developing strategies for significant business decisions. She is a proven leader that achieves high levels of productivity and efficiency in very diverse and fluid environments. Lisa proudly served on the American University (AU) Alumni Board of Directors and the American Health Education Center Network Board of Directors. She further supports the Armed Forces Communications & Electronics Association Small Business and Education Subcommittee, the National Board of Directors for Women in Defense HORIZONS Scholarship, STEM, and Academia Director, the AU Entrepreneurship Council, and sits on the Quality Systems Management, Inc. Mr. Victor Pirowski, Chief Financial OfficerMr. Victor Pirowski has been the Chief Financial Officer of Mayvin since the company's incorporation in 2008. Victor has a proven record of developing and implementing financial and operational controls for Mayvin and its clients. His skills are directly applicable to a wide range of administrative, technical, and analytical functions in the formulation, presentation, defense, and execution of Department of Defense program budgets. He has significant experience in planning, organizing, and executing annual and multi-year budgeting projects. Victor's knowledge of Contract Administration, Regulatory Compliance, and Government Business Systems allows Mayvin to interact smoothly and efficiently with clients. Under his guidance, Mayvin has earned DCAA Accounting System acceptability and developed an infrastructure that is capable of servicing Mayvin's clients, and scalable to meet surge requirements. Mr. Samuel P. Morthland, Executive Senior Vice President - OperationsMr. Samuel Morthland is focused on expanding Mayvin's professional services by managing our increasing number of awarded contracts, as well as promoting organic growth with partners and customers. Samuel has extensive experience in special operations, information operations, requirements assessment, business process reengineering, and program management. Most recently, Samuel was the Corporate Program Manager for a $13 million services support contract for the Marine Corps Information Operations Center in addition to leading numerous studies and analysis efforts as a Consultant supporting both defense and commercial customers. Prior to retiring after a 22 year career in Air Force Special Operations, Samuel served on the Secretary of Defense and Joint staffs, led the operations of an 800 person operational unit, and led several large command and control and mission planning acquisition programs. Samuel graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business from the Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio and has two Masters of Science Degrees: one from the Naval Postgraduate School in Defense Analysis (Information Operations), and the other from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Aviation Operations Management.
Mr. Jonathan "Jay" Burruss, Vice President - OperationsAs Mayvin’s Vice President of Operations, Mr. Jonathon “Jay” Burruss leads multiple projects that support the Department of Defense (DoD) and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Jay’s projects include All Intelligence Requirements, Naval Sea Power, Coast Guard Training, and HQDA G8/G3 Forward Agenda. Prior to Joining Mayvin in 2013, Jay spent more than 20 years of honorable service in the Navy. During this time, he served with NSA Washington, multiple SEAL Teams, and at ACU-5. He also conducted multiple operations, missions, and deployments in a host of foreign, hostile countries. After a successful military career, Jay served as a Civilian at the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) as Team Lead for the Operations Support Team, as a Contractor at JIDA (formerly JIEDDO) as a Sr. Security and Counterintelligence SME, and at the Department of Homeland Security, Intelligence and Analysis Division, as a Foreign Disclosure/Foreign Liaison Representative. Jay is a family man, married with seven children. His hobbies range from deep sea diving, skydiving, motorcycle racing, chess, reading, and Cryogenics. When asked about his “Happy Place,” he states that you can find him on a beach with blue water. Jay graduated from University of Maryland University College with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science.
Mr. Derrick Williams, Vice President - GrowthAs Vice President of Growth for Mayvin, Mr. Derrick Williams is responsible for driving strategic partnerships and transactions to accelerate Mayvin’s growth. He is focused on identifying and realizing opportunities to expand Mayvin’s presence across the Federal and Defense contracting space. He brings over a decade of industry experience managing all aspects of business development, including market engagement, capture management, proposal development, marketing, and acquisitions. Before joining Mayvin, he worked for both large and small companies, including an international firm doing business with governments worldwide, governmental and non-governmental international aid organizations, and commercial enterprises. Prior to industry, Derrick spent 20 years in the United States Army and served in the Armored Cavalry and other units from platoon-level up to, and including, Headquarters Department of the Army and Joint staffs. In the Army, he supported Special Mission Units and served as a Strategist for higher level staffs. Derrick graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Political Science from Weber State University and has a Master of Science Degree in Business from Central Michigan University. Additionally, he works with Challenge America, whose mission is to connect service members, veterans, and their families to the resources they need to live the lives they earned and deserve.
